preheat oven to 425°F. prepare sour cream pastry as directed, but do not bake.
in medium mixing bowl combine sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, applesauce. butter flavor crisco and eggs. blend thoroughly with wire whisk. pour into prepared pastry.
bake at 425°F for 10 minutes. reduce oven temperature to 350°F. bake for 20 to 30 minutes longer, or until center is set. cool completely. top with whipped cream, if desired.
