In small mixing bowl blend Butter Flavor Crisco, confectioners' sugar, vanilla and salt. Blend in half-and-half to desired consistency. Beat until smooth. Blend in food coloring. Spread on cooled cookies.
Chocolate Cookie Frosting: Follow the recipe above, adding 2 tablespoons cocoa with the confectioners' sugar. Increase half-and-half to 1 tablespoon plus 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 teaspoons.
