preheat oven to 300°F. generously grease baking sheet. in dutch oven blend brown sugar, corn syrup, butter flavor crisco and vanilla. cook over medium-high heat for about 2 minutes, or until light and foamy, stirring constantly. remove from heat. add popcorn, tossing to coat. stir in almonds. spread on prepared baking sheet.
bake at 300°F for 15 minutes, stirring once. cool. break into bite-size pieces. store in covered container.
