mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. add milk and crisco oil; stir just enough to hold dough together.
knead lightly (about 10 strokes) on a well-floured surface. pat or roll dough about 1/2 inch thick (makes about a 7-inch circle) and cut with a floured cutter.
place on an ungreased cookie sheet. bake at 425°F for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.
